Ask anyone who’s ever lived in Holmquist Hall to describe the place and they’ll likely say, “It’s like a family.” That’s not surprising, since Holmquist is a tightly knit coed community—a place where residents take an interest in getting to know each other.
The first floor features suites, in which two students have their own bedroom and share a common area and a bathroom. First floor also includes a kitchen, TV lounge, computer lab and pool table. The second and third floor rooms are doubles, singles and super singles. Upper-floor rooms are spacious and beds are loftable, and each wing on each floor features its own laundry facilities. Holmquist is conveniently located near Alex Nemzek Hall and campus athletic facilities. You’ll find ample parking nearby.

We strongly encourage our students to pursue renters insurance. You may arrange for renter's insurance through your own insurance company. MSUM does not insure personal belongings in student rooms. While we hope students will never need to file a renter's insurance claim, it is important to be prepared just in case.
Residents can submit a work request for their room via their . Log in and click the Maintenance tab. This is also where residents may view comments from Maintenance staff regarding the work. To submit work orders for public spaces in your hall, such as the bathroom, contact your RA or Hall Desk.
